13th Workshop on Disfluency in Spontaneous Speech

We are pleased to announce the 13th edition of the DiSS workshop (Disfluency in Spontaneous Speech), which will take place in Bolzano-Bozen (Italy), on February 4th-5th.

Established in 1999, the DiSS workshop series provides an interdisciplinary forum for researchers interested in disfluency and spontaneous speech. It brings together  researchers from a wide range of disciplines and welcomes studies on disfluency in spontaneous speech.

The DiSS workshop is sponsored by ISCA. As such, there will be three ISCA grants available to support the participation of students and early-career scientists!

Submissions are encouraged from all fields that deal with disfluency, paralinguistics, and other related phenomena. This includes, among others: psychology, neuropsychology and neurocognition, psycholinguistics, linguistics, conversation analysis, computational linguistics, speech technology, gesture analysis, dialogue systems, speech production and perception.

Submission

Please prepare your manuscript using the official Interspeech 2026 template for regular papers. The maximum number of manuscript pages is 6, pages 5 and 6 are reserved exclusively for acknowledgments, disclosures of the use of generative AI tools, and references, which may begin on an earlier page if space permits. You are free to use LaTeX or Word, please submit a single PDF file.

Submissions are managed through the Microsoft CMT system. Authors need to have a free account to submit their papers. Please use this link to submit your paper.

All submissions will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee. Accepted papers will be included in the workshop proceedings and published in the ISCA Archive.
